Crescent Mills Wetlands Mitigation

The Crescent Mills Wetland Conservation Area is owned by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and managed and maintained by the RCD. Formerly the location of a lumber mill operation (until 1986), the site is gradually being restored with native plant species and improved hydrologic function. It is being used by Caltrans in their Wetlands Mitigation and Mornitoring Program.

Noxious Weed Control

For the past 10 years, the Feather River RCD has worked collaboratively with partners as part of the WEEDS (We Eradicate Exotic & Detrimental Species) group. We are working with landowners to educate and bring awareness to the threat that invasive plant species pose to our lands, public and private.
